Jacuzzi Hydro Jets

Jacuzzi Hydro Jets

Jacuzzi Hydro Jets is one of the most important components in the Jacuzzi. The powerful jets deliver a stream of water that can massage sore muscles and create better blood circulation.

Being massaged with a stream of hot water relieves knots and spasms in the muscles and can seriously improve movement of muscles and joints.

Although there are many different manufacturers of Jacuzzi’s in South Africa, most of them use Jets manufactured by a company called “Quality®”. Quality® is the largest manufacturer of Jacuzzi and Spa Parts in South Africa.

Quality® manufacturers a whole range of Hydro Therapy Jets used on Jacuzzi’s and Swimming Pools.

Some of their range:

Gunite Hydro Jet

Gunite Jacuzzi Hydro Jets

Gunite Jets are used when building a concrete swimming pool. This jet is designed to handle the complications that come with Concrete pools. So if you would like to have a Martini Seat in your pool with real Jacuzzi jets to massage you, then this is the way to go.

This jet not only delivers a powerful water stream, but can also be attached to a venturi system that sucks air into the water channel in order to boost jets pressure.

Jacuzzi Hydro Jets 32-32 mm

Although these jets do not have a high delivery rate like the Gunite jets or the 50 mm/32 mm Spa Hydro Jets they are still useful for installations where there are limited space available for jets.

This jet has a 32 mm water feed and a 32 mm air intake.

Jacuzzi Hydro Jet – 50 mm / 32 mm

Jacuzzi Hydro Jets 50-32 mm

Jacuzzi Hydro Jets 50-32 mm

50 mm / 32 mm Jacuzzi hydro Jets deliver a powerful water stream and is fully adjustable in the sense that you can change the direction of the water stream by simply shifting te nozzle.

Just like its smaller brother, this jet can also be closed completely by turning the face of the Jet Clockwise. This will stop the water flow to that jet and increase the pressure and flow to the other jets attached to the same water channel.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy, otherwise known as Aquatic Physiotherapy, is a specific form of physiotherapy treatment conducted in a heated pool. Aquatic Physiotherapy treatment (individually or in groups) incorporates individual assessment, diagnosis and the use of clinical reasoning skills to formulate a treatment program appropriate to each patient’s needs.

By combining hands-on pool based physiotherapy treatment techniques and specifically designed exercises supervised by physiotherapists with specific training in Aquatic Physiotherapy, hydrotherapy helps regain or enhance physical well being in a warm relaxing environment.

A series of gentle therapeutic exercises (distinct from swimming or aqua-aerobics) carried out in a heated pool allow greater comfort and range of movement as the water supports body weight. Therapeutic exercises can be progressed safely using the resistance of the water to strengthen the muscles and improve stability.

Benefits of Hydrotherapy

Aquatic Physiotherapy can help relieve pain, promote relaxation, mobilize joints, strengthen muscles, develop balance and coordination, and improve general fitness.

What are the therapeutic benefits of Hydrotherapy & exercise in warm water?

  • Muscular relaxation and decreased muscle spasm.
  • Decreased pain due to warmth and support.
  • Gravity is countered by buoyancy.
  • Increased muscle strength and endurance due to the greater resistance in water.
  • Improvement in swelling, due to hydro static pressure.
  • Enhanced balance and stabilization.
  • Improved enjoyment and confidence to move better.

How does Hydrotherapy work?

The warmth increases circulation, reduces muscle spasm, and helps to relieve pain. Patients do not need to be able to swim in order to benefit from Aquatic Physiotherapy. Aquatic Physiotherapy may be used alone or in conjunction with other rehabilitation programs.

An aquatic program is often a stepping stone for patients to progress onto gym or land based exercise programs. The rehabilitation program can also include appropriate exercises to maintain fitness, while recovering from sports injuries or orthopaedic surgery.

What conditions can Hydrotherapy benefit?

Some of the many conditions that can benefit from an individualized Aquatic Physiotherapy program include:

  • Back pain/sciatica/ lumbar instability
  • Whiplash & other neck pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Tendinopathy
  • Balance/coordination problems
  • Shoulder and arm pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis & Fibromyalgia
  • Ankylosing Spondylitis
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Stroke
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Work and accident related injuries
  • Rehabilitation after bone fractures, joint replacement or tendon repair
  • Aquatic Physiotherapy has been shown to bring pain relief, combined with long lasting improvements in joint mobility and muscle strength.

Please remember to never close all the jets at the same time, as this will increase the pressure in the water channel and cause it to start leaking. Always leave at least two jets open.
